The 2006 HOME-A-RAMA

I'm proud to announce that the new owners of the 2006 Home-A-Rama home at Sagamore have moved in. This is the second home for this family that I've built. Built as a spec home, it's an incredible feeling to have such a wonderful family enjoying all our hard work.

Pinery Homes By Rex Brown won 8 awards including Best of Show at the 2006 Home-A-Rama. This show is organized by BAGI (Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis) every year and showcases 6-9 luxury homes that are fully decorated and landscaped. Attendance ranges from 20,000-40,000. The Awards are given for the "best of" aspects of the homes, along with a "Peoples Choice Award".

The Home
For the 2006 Home-A-Rama Show, Pinery Homes By Rex Brown built a SBG Design, (Steven Goldberg, Architect) designed home: 7300+ (total sq ft), 4800 sq ft on the main two levels with the master suite on the first floor, hearth room, 2-story great room, 4-bedrooms on the second level, a four car garage, an outdoor room, and of course a finished basement with: a fantastic bar in a "club" theme, gaming area, theater room, exercise room, and bedroom with a full bath. Every Home-A-Rama home is allowed special discounts by the vendors and contractors that work on the home, and these discounts totaled nearly $300,000 with this home.

The Designer
Kristina Lawson of Studio Design Gallery worked closely with Rex, selecting nearly every detail for the home inside and out. Kristina has won three previous home shows for best interior design, including the '05 Stonegate Home-A-Rama show. She has been working in her field for over 28 years and brought an unprecedented contribution to Rex Brown's entry in this year's show.
